Athletic Director - South Brunswick High
Terms of Employement - 12 months
Salary Grade - Teacher pay table plus supplement for Athletic Director
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
To provide direction and coordination for the school’s interscholastic athletic program. The position requires the exercise of considerable judgment to ensure that all financial transactions are necessary, reasonable, and allowable in support of the athletic program.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Licensing/Certification:
- Hold or be able to obtain a North Carolina Teacher’s or Instructional Support License.
- Possess knowledge of athletics and adhere to the eligibility requirements as identified by the rules and by-laws of the North Carolina High School Athletic Association (NCHSAA)
- Certified Athletic Administrator or Certified Master Athletic Administrator credential preferred
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Coursework in Recreational Sports, Health/Physical Education, or related field preferred
- Or equivalent education and/or experience in coaching or recreational or interscholastic athletics
Experience:
- A minimum of three years combined experience in coaching, recreational sports, or health/physical education
- Strong professional and interpersonal skills and personal characteristics necessary for working effectively with school personnel and members of the community
